Kinship caregivers play an essential role in keeping children connected to family, community, and the people who know and love them most. But stepping into that role can also mean navigating unfamiliar systems, finding the right resources, and learning how to advocate for the needs of both the child and the caregiver.
This September, the Ohio Federation for Health Equity and Social Justice, in partnership with the Ohio Grandparent/Kinship Coalition, is bringing caregivers, advocates, professionals, and community leaders together for Kinship Care: A Call to Advocacy and Action, a virtual symposium focused on strengthening the support surrounding Ohio’s kinship families.
